Four years ago, Rosa Centorbi who works in a bank, in Switzerland desired to dedicate part of her time to help people in need. Fired with this desire, Rosa was made to visit Mukasa, a Catholic mission in Choma.  Rosa right away fell in love with the simplicity of people and in short time the children considered her as their “white mum”. When it was time for Rosa to go back to Switzerland, she promised the children to not forget them. As soon as she was back in Switzerland, Rosa started to collect some funds to support some children in need. In Choma, Rosa has been involved in sourcing funds for children’s school fees, uniforms, books and sometimes providing food.

A Caring Response to Children

KCH was established in 2009 as a non-profit organisation to help bring relief to the communities hardest hit by the HIV crisis.  Formed against a background of a huge increase in the number of HIV and AIDS cases, and an enormous increase in the number of orphans without care, KCH was initiated to provide accommodation, health and education and help HIV positive children to cope with the emotional and financial strains brought about by HIV/AIDS.

The project will be located on a 22 hectares piece of land already acquired about 20 Km from Choma on your way to Livingstone. The piece of land is quite big; one part will be occupied with the building and on the remaining land we intend to create a farm for animal and crop production.
